Professional Makeup Artistry Certificate     

A certificate program that includes skills for day & evening makeup,  bridal makeup,  fashion photography makeup, TV commercial makeup, catalogue makeup, model portfolio makeup, and TV & film make-up. This program includes lessons in clients and procedures, your artist kit, best buys for building your brush set, prepping the skin and perfecting the skin with advanced concealer and  foundation techniques, numerous eye techniques including the famous smoky eye, working with neutrals and having fun with colour, bridal trials, false lashes, brow shaping and defining, and much much more.

Available in private instruction and small group seminar. Each student will receive proper documentation and forms to register into Pro makeup artist programs and receive benefits like discounts on product and tools from some of the most popular makeup companies in the world. After the completion of the Professional Makeup Artistry Certificate program, the artist will have enough knowledge and practical experience to begin booking as a makeup artist. The artist may choose to continue with an advanced level program in Bridal Specialization Makeup Artistry and Studio Specialization Makeup Artistry.

Prerequisite - no prior experience necessary. A great program for new or experienced makeup artists. 

Bridal Specialization Makeup Artistry Certificate           (advanced)

An advanced level certificate program that will appeal to even working makeup Artists. Bridal makeup is an important area for many makeup artists. This intense Bridal makeup program provides a unique training experience  for successful and professional bridal makeup bookings.  This certificate program includes  working with brides and bridal parties, long wearing makeup, wedding themes, lashes, highlighting and contouring, bridal trials, makeup for mature skin (moms of the bride and groom),  advanced eye techniques, promotional tools, the business of bridal makeup, and more advanced makeup skills.

Available in private instruction and small group seminar. Each student will receive proper documentation and forms to register into Pro Programs.

Prerequisite - Professional Makeup Artistry Certificate (formally called Makeup Artistry Certificate #1)

Studio Specialization Makeup Artistry Certificate       (advanced) 

In this advanced level certificate program  the artist learns advanced topics in fashion photography makeup, music video makeup, time period makeup, movie sets and working with a film director, hair & makeup beauty shoots, creative colourful makeup, the artist's kit for studio bookings, advanced fashion eye techniques, fashion show backstage makeup, the artist's portfolio and promotional tools, working with a fashion photographer, makeup for catalogue shoots, and much more.

Available in private instruction and small group seminar. Each student will receive proper documentation and forms to register into Pro Programs.

At NOW we offer exceptional training programs related to the rapidly growing makeup Industry. Small class sizes ensure that each student receives a very personalized experience in our learning environment. For those who prefer one on one attention we also offer private classes.

Makeup Artists in Canada are more in demand than ever before. Bookings in music videos, TV commercials, film, fashion shows, commercial print, catalogue, beauty photography and more are available to the qualified Artist.

Certificate courses are offered as 4 half day sessions. Class size is between 2-6 students at a time.

Each student is required to bring a friend to use as a model for the day.

Dates for half day sessions are determined at time of registration (contact our office for upcoming dates).

Each student will receive proper documentation and forms to register into  Pro Programs. Benefits included 20-40% discount on products and tools  (MAC PRO and student PRO), entrance into specialized courses, and regular updates on trends in the makeup industry.

Students receive a certificate of completion upon completion of each program.
